July!

Our beloved NPR librarian Kee Malesky sends these emails with factoids about the coming new month and I thought I’d share this one with you.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
JULY is the month for Cell Phone Courtesy; Grilling; Zines; and Horseradish.
There are weeks for Farriers (look it up); and one for Nude Recreation (but not at the office).
Also we have days to honor Canada, and our Independence; and it’s the beginning of the Dog Days of Summer.
The Games of the Thirtieth Olympiad begin; there’s a festival of baby food; the Dinosaur Roundup; Moby Dick Marathon; the American Fancy Rat & Mouse Show; and the International Cherry Pit-Spitting Championship.
If they hadn’t joined the choir invisible, Art Linkletter, Milton Friedman, and Woody Guthrie would be 100 years old.
