No idea, HOW I missed this story when it ran on our site two years ago. It reminds me of when Candy and I were at the 1984 Victory Tour concert in Knoxville, Tenn. and MJ threw his hat in the audience and Candy cried because we didn’t catch it and I spent the rest of the concert thinking about how to get down to where the hat was so I could snatch it from the person who had it.

I was mulling over this as I drove to work...
I may have heard so many great jazz singers that it makes it hard for me to appreciate a voice like JHud’s, Beyonce’s or Alicia Keys. I think it’s all that belting and screaming vs. really using skill to manipulate the music like say, Ella F. or Sarah V. or Whitney. If you pay attention, none of those women ever screamed.
